MyLeah is an associate attorney and member of the firm’s individual legal services department, with primary practice areas in Estate Planning and Administration, Trusts and Estates, Prenuptial Agreements, Conservatorships/Guardianships, and Elder Law.
During her time in practice, she has become skilled at managing a variety of cases. In assisting clients to navigate life’s unexpected challenges and achieve new goals, she sees how critical it is for an attorney to connect with and understand the unique needs of all clients and their family members. MyLeah appreciates every opportunity to address clients’ questions and concerns so that they become informed, comfortable, and ready to choose the best path forward. She strives to always be a resource to clients, and she prides herself on being approachable, responsive, and compassionate.
MyLeah worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert A. Awsumb in Ramsey County District Court in Minnesota. While working for the court, she assisted with a variety of cases with complex substantive law and procedural issues and gained intense research and writing experience. Most importantly, her clerkship gave her an “insider’s view” of legal advocacy from a judge’s point of view. MyLeah also previously worked as a paralegal, a court clerk for Wright and Ramsey County District Courts, held an externship at the ACLU, and interned at the Department of Homeland Security – Office of Chief Counsel.
MyLeah has always been enthusiastic about helping people, especially children. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a major in Youth Studies and is a member in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar Association.
When she is not practicing law, MyLeah enjoys spending time with her family, singing, playing the ukulele, cooking seafood, and making sushi!
